THINGS TO CONSIDER or FAQs:
For Parents with additional Child Returns:
If your child is under 18 years of age, we will place
their tax return in the parent's Client Portal. There is no
need to create multiple portals and passwords for each tax
return we complete for your family. Please note:
children over 18 must have their own portal and password.
For Clients
with Multiple State returns:
We will upload all
of your returns to one portal. For instance, if you are a
Married couple that files a Federal Joint return, but you
have two individual state returns for different states, we
will place all three returns in to your one main Client
Portal.
For Married or Divorcing Couples:
You may establish more than one Client Portal, should
you prefer to each have unique User Names (email address)
and Passwords. Please notify your preparer that you have two
Client Portals and would like your returns copied to both
portals.
One Portal but we would like notification
to two Email addresses:
Unfortunately, at this
time, our system doesn't have the functionality to send
notifications to multiple email addresses for individual
client portals. Please choose wisely when setting up your
Client Portal!
If we do your Corporate Return and Individual Return:
You can choose to either: have one portal with both
returns posted to the same portal (or) establish 2 portals,
one for your personal return and one for your corporate
return. Each portal would need to have a unique User
Name (email) and password to log in. You may wish to
establish 2 portals if you have Admin staff in your office
that you will be giving log-in access to. Please
discuss with your preparer which option you would like to
use.
Need to Change Password/Email or
Forgot Password:
This can easily be done on the
login screen (to reset) or in the My Account section (to
change password or email).
If you wish to OPT OUT of using the Client
Portal:
We are no longer email your tax returns to you. If
you opt-out of the Client Portal delivery system, we will
mail a hard copy of your return via US Postal Service.
Please tell your tax preparer when s/he is completing your
return so they can notify our Administrative staff of your
preference.
